Second time reading this book in prep for the next in the series. Still love this one and am excited to see where the series goes!

At the end, I really like how the bear attacked the train driver. I also like how the passenger used the skies to trick the train driver, and how they used a slug instead of a train ticket.

Where Elizabeth's Elliot's 1957 missionary martyrdom classic saga "Through Gates of Splendor" begins, this one ends. Flash forward two generations & what transpires would have Mrs Elliot rolling in her grave. This is NOT the legacy that her husband Jim Elliot, would want to be remembered by. Deeply disturbing on many fronts, it's an example of missionary zeal gone way wrong.

The book was okay. A lot of people say it’s really good, but as a writer, I don’t think it was well written. It was a bit obvious this was one of Nowlin’s first books based on the way it’s written. The plot was a little all over the place with a lot of plot twists, which are okay! I don’t mind them at all, in fact I enjoy them. I liked the overall plot. I probably won’t re-read it, and it’s definitely not my favorite, but I don’t want to dis-reccomend it.

The first story was amazing, and the last one left me confused in the best way. Each story was unique and kept me engaed

Interesting and i recommend reading it. Its dramatic, perfect for girls.

I like how many settings there are and how descriptive it is.

Such a great read! I couldn't put it down....as a result....finished it in one day! Great stand alone, one-step-up-from-a cozy mystery!

Suspenseful

This is a must read for anyone who has children, works with children, is an aunt/uncle, grandparent, anyone who knows and cares about children.
